people always go on about male-dominated fields, but what about female dominated fields, like nursing or teaching? Both very respectable and necessary professions, but there are only 2 guys in my intro to educ lecture, and they're both quiet and seem intimidated by all the girls.

Oh yes, there are definitely female dominated jobs! Nursing and teaching, like you said, as well as beauticians, hair stylists, makeup consultants, home health aids (at least in my experience), seamstresses, etc. 

Honestly, if people are qualified and can do the job, more power to them! {: 

More jobs are opening up to both men and women and I really love that. The more qualified people, the better!

I don't think there's much wrong with the song All About The Bass, really. In particular, I think she's singing to a specific group and not to everyone, just people who have body issues, especially bigger body types. I'll agree that the skinny bitches line wasn't the best, but it's overall a really good song with a good message that I don't think was suppose to be targeted towards people who are comfortable with themselves, if that makes sense? I know it's helped more than a few people.

I haven't even heard the song, myself. It takes a lot to offend me, to be honest. I just don't listen to her music. I actually don't even really listen to the radio so I never hear new songs like this! I only hear about them through tumblr. I understand people being upset about that line.

I wish the need to hate that exist in this site didn't extent to every type of blogs some if d anti-sjw blogs keep posting stuff about how much fandoms fan girls (like yaoi fans) are all dumb, stupid, annoying and shit like I like you ppl why do you keep insulting others who don't interact with them (u guys r still awesome llove you)

I'm a girl and I don't understand the whole girls are not working and this field cause patriarchy.Taking from exemple my class only me and other two girls want to work in male-dominant fields and this isn't because the patriarchy scared off the other 20 girls, it's because they have other personal prefferences like being teachers, vets, some want to work in sales and one wants to be a wedding organanizer and that's okay cause that's what they want to do, the patriarchy didn't force them like wtf

I personally am not physically strong enough to do a lot of the jobs men do. That isn't discrimination either, I just can't lift as much as they can. I could only lift about 50 pounds when I took my tests for the Air Force, and that excluded me from a lot of jobs. 

You're right, a lot of people have different preferences for jobs. I don't know many women who WANT to be constructions workers, firefighters, etc. The women I grew up around wanted to be teachers, beauticians, etc. 

Of course there ARE women who want to be mechanics, firefighters, etc, and there are. But people need to understand that it's not a common job that women work in. I mostly see men.
