This #FarmFriday, we’re visiting a model electric farm from the Southern California Edison Company. This illustration from an undated pamphlet possibly issued around 1932 (or as late as around 1950) aimed to entice the region’s agricultural sector into electrifying farm production with promises to “stop those chores from robbing us of our natural vigor, our youthful spirit, our joy of living.” Sign me up. This pamphlet is Pam 2009.468 in Hagley Library’s Published Collection Department’s collection of pamphlets and trade catalogs.
