Back in the mid 80′s, NIck Kamen was picked to sing a song that Madonna and Stephen Bray wrote. Not only did he make the charts with their song “Each Time You Break My Heart”, he was plastered everywhere because of his Levi’s 501 ad that left him pantless and women panting.

My first memory of Nick is a vague one, mostly of seeing his music video on Casey’s Top Ten or clips on VH1. Nick had a look and a talent that was unique. Missing his voice, I think Nick could and would be a force to be reckoned with if he were still singing. Where ever you are Nick, if this should find you, I hope you know that you are not forgotten. You’re still a light in our hearts.

I swear, guys, this is the last time I'll post it. hahaha. Can't help it. I cannot help it. The subtle percussion in this song speaks of emotional intensity and narrative, and her voice just sort of soars along side it. The facial expressions in this video are hauntingly evocative, for me. Love it.
