There's a long history of model yacht racing in Central Park – in fact, the Central Park Model Yacht Club celebrated its 100th birthday back in 2016. The presentation of trophies for the winners was made bv the senior Nixon, who said proudly to his grandson: "Your boat bears the name of Mavor Walker, and so deserves to win."
