First post on the new blog! Yay!

First up, this will be a modern budget UB Faeries mix for rose-colored-girl. The budget was originally $100-150, but I was later given liberty with it, so here is the final product.

We’ll start with the Faeries.

2x Sower of Temptation 2x Mistbind Clique 2x Fencer Clique 

I chose these because they offer the most resiliency and inevitability of our options. I hear you shouting, “But spellstutter sprite!” But remember, this is budget, so it was necessary to cut many of the other faeries to make this into more of a control deck than the original faeries deck is. Because of this, I cut them in favor of hard counter magic.

Then the planeswalkers.

2x Jace Beleren 2x Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver

These are here to give us that oh so beloved inevitability along with some pretty decent card advantage. (Yes, I realize that Jace also draws them cards)(No, I don’t really care)

Next, the removal.

4x Dismember 4x Doom Blade 3x Go for the Throat 

Pretty self explanatory. Nothing too fancy.

Now, finally, the counter magic.

4x Spreading Seas 4x Remand 4x Mana Leak 4x Countersquall

I chose these because I believe that they are, to say the least, sufficient and near budget. I can almost hear your confusion as you see spreading seas at the top of the list. It’s there because It essentially ‘counters’ your opponent’s spells: if they on’t play blue or colorless, they can’t play. Hoses Eldrazi (if you can drop it early enough) and tron.

You can take liberty with the sideboard, but as a basis, I suggest

3x Engineered Explosives 2x Sword of Fire and Ice 4x Deathmark 4x Hurkyl's Recall

This is all for common matchups in my meta (with one exception). That is to say, yours is probably different. The exception is sword of fire and ice, which is there if you can swing the price.
