Here is the final version of Shadowheart! I went through so many phases of shading, especially with the skin.

I think that I have improved with shading, but I'm still working on color theory...

y’all. I can’t make this shit up. In the past 5 days I have written over 30,000 words of this shadowzel fic I’m working on. It’s 43,000 words right now. I am so fucking excited, I can’t get it out of my head. it’s another modern au but this one is soooo different and I can’t wait to finish and share it! But I’m taking my time (lmao, as much as it’s possible for me to do so) because it’s my baby honestly

but anyway yeah there’s a little writing update! 20,000 of those words I wrote over this weekend. now I’m going to be agonizing during work all week not being able to write 😭

Hello my lovely fellow Shadowzel lovers! I am soooo excited to bring to you the first chapter of my new Shadowzel fic:

Out Of The Storm

Poetry is the only way Shadowheart knows to process the endless loneliness she has felt ever since her parents passed away. She pours her feels into poems and drops them into the void of the internet via Tumblr. She doesn't do it for the notes and the re-blogs, but they certainly don't hurt, even if she never replies to any of them. When a new person, LZ, begins to interact with her poems and then reaches out to her, Shadowheart takes the risk of replying, but she could never imagine the ways that risk would change her life.

In other words: High school Shadowzel meet each other on Tumblr through Shadowheart's poetry!

I have been working on this one nonstop for a couple of weeks and I am really pleased with how it's turned out! It's 12 chapters and I will be posting chapters daily! If you read, I hope you will enjoy!

(and one last note... I wrote a lot of poetry for this fic. I'm going to post the poems from each chapter on Tumblr as their own post, they should not really be spoilers. If they are spoilers I will mark them accordingly!)

It's here! The first chapter of my new modern Shadowzel fic!!!!

Reignited

Summary:

When Shadowheart got pregnant seven years ago, she left behind the religious cult she'd been a part of for a decade in the hope of giving her child the best life she could. She's given her all to raise a happy and healthy daughter, putting herself second at every turn. But when she meets Lae'zel, the aunt of her daughter's new best friends, she suddenly wants to allow herself something of her own.

Aka: Single Mom Shadowheart, who escaped the House of Grief when accidentally getting pregnant during a hookup, meets ex-military Lae'zel, the honorary aunt of Karlach and Wyll's twins. There ensues longing, struggling to allow herself something just for herself, and learning to finally heal from her trauma and to let people into her and her daughter's life.

This story is a total of around 83k words, 16 chapters! I plan to post updates every 1-2 days to give me the time to proofread and edit each one! The entire fic should be posted within the month!

If you check it out, I really hope you enjoy it! This has been one of my favorite thing to write maybe ever, so I am beyond excited to be able to share it and hopefully bring some of that joy to you all as well!
