Is HTML5 ready?
HTML5, most of the time when I use, someone from server side team asks, is this work on all browsers? So, my answer is it will work for Modern browsers. So next question what you do to support for other browsers specially IE, then reply I am using HTML5Shiv, Modernizr etc to get it supported on IE browsers.
But, what happens when your client ask same questions? It’s quite difficult to tell them. In that case you have to prove, as well as show your work and tell the benefits of using it.
According to W3C, target date is 2014 to reach specification at recommended status. HTML5 definition is ready and according to a survey almost 63% developers “actively using HTML5”.
So, start using today there are lots of scripts available that will make it browser compatible. or ask me
