“JiM GETS BIG FOODIE FACE IN “TASTE” section of the Modesto Bee Newspaper. I bought 10 copies! It’s a great picture of Jim—of Jim’s current life.

He’s the new Farmer’s Market poster boy!

Jim was my gay partner. He loved the farmer’s market. He was an excellent cook.

TASTE was the food section in the Modesto Bee, our local news paper

When I worked in the Public Defender’s office, any time one of our cases made the paper and we were named in it, we would say “you got face”. That’s why I said of the above photo that Jim got foodie face.

I was a lawyer in the Stanislaus County Public Defender’s office in 2008.

MY CONTACT WITH THE BEE.......

Recently at the end of Jim Cook’s testimony I submitted a letter to the editor to the Modesto bee. Though brief, I outlined the expenses involved in Jim Cook’s testimony along with the result that they got from his testimony.

The letter was not published in the letters to the editor, but I was contacted by Brian Clark advising that there are going to try to have more coverage of the Carson case…

Ninth Street in front of the Modesto Downtown Transportation Center was closed off for about an hour and a half Monday morning when a caller to 911 reported what looked like a pipe bomb. The roughly foot-long length of dark plastic pipe, 4 to 6 inches in diameter and capped at both ends, turned out to be a device to extract oil from marijuana plants.
