Hi!! I love Praaven since I love Medieval stuff! Thnaks for it! I downloaded Praaven Reworked and when I save the save comes up in my Saves folder but not in the menu. I've had it not make an ExportDB file but even when it saves with one it doesn't appear in the menu where I can select the game to play. Any ide why it does this?

Hi there and sorry for the late reply. I don’t really have an idea what could be wrong. The only thing that comes to my mind is that if you use special characters in the names of save games they might not show up in the list of saved games. Or, for that matter, renamed the world to something with special characters in the name. The only other reason I know is if two worlds with the same world ID are installed at the same time, but I made sure that Praaven and Praaven Reworked don’t conflict in this regards. @modestpixels

How to make Gshade work with DXKV in The Sims 3!

Gshade DXKV & Vulkan method

I refuse to play The Sims 3 without Gshade or without DXKV. I cannot do Reshade because it just does'nt feel the same and polished etc to me.

Gshade DXKV

STEP 1

Install GShade and choose the DXKV (expirimental) injecton. STEP 2 When finished, close and go to your Bin folder STEP 3

Delete the dxgi.dll file

STEP 4

Start your Sims 3 game. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If this for some reason does not work. Try this

Gshade Vulkan Injecton

STEP 1

Install DXVK as explained in this tutorial.

STEP 2

Add a line in the dxkv.conf

dxkv.hud = devinfo

Make sure you run The Sims 3 and DXVK is actually working! You will see a hud in the top left corner of your game when it is loaded correctly or have an fps counter and watch the framerate. It should be locked at 60 or 75 depending on what number you have in the dxkv.conf

Also look into the Bin folder and see if you can locate the TS3W.dxkv-cache file.

STEP 3

Once you’ve established it is working, exit the game.

STEP 4

Install GShade and choose the Vulkan option. (Dxvk makes the Sims 3 Vulkan.)

The d3d9.dll file from the dxkv will be removed during this process.

Let the process finish.

STEP 5

Once Gshade is fully finished. Go into your bin folder and put the d3d9.dll file (from the dxkv 32x folder) back in.

STEP 6

---------------------------------------------- My game was crashing and I could not figure out why. Short version it was Playclaw. It crashed my game when the d3d9.dll file was in my game bin. It started working again after I closed it. Just so you know!

Something I have put off for way too long! 😏🪴

MODS I AM WORKING ON ATM:

- A Medieval (GOT) career pack/collection which will hold all the different careers/jobs people had in those times. Also adding new books for these careers, opportunities and events.

- Nraas Tuning for several different Nraas mods to function as a truly medieval world structure. Stuff like castes and how sims behave from different castes. Think Peasants, Nobles, Monarch families. Which careers they can or cannot get assigned. Who their boss is.. like for The Hand of the King/Queen it should be the King or Queen.

- Trying to make more Medieval style traits. Like Illiterate. Don’t know if it’s going to be a trait or do it another way.

- I will look into Zerbu/Sonya’s Ultimate careers to see if I can add several functional mod objects to the list of objects that make job performance go up. Like woodcutting, whittling, functioning well, hunting all those type of things. If anyone has any idea on how to go about this, please let me know!
