I've seen it happen twice now, once on 7th January and then today and do not want to see it again
Indian Farmer Protests are not equivalent to Americans storming the Capitol. Those people were domestic terrorists and white supremacists. These farmers are protesting so they cat put food on their table; they are NOT similar to whiny snowflakes throwing a tantrum because they couldn't keep their cult leader in the office.
The worst thing about this is that both times these words came out of the protestors mouth and they thought that being like those particular Americans was something great.
There are tweets circulating around that glamourize that attack and saying that these farmers are like them. THEY ARE NOT. They are setting themselves up to be shown as terrorists without meaning to because they don't know about the details of the attack.
There is nothing Modi likes better than his international image and if the farmers keep comparing themselves to terrorists, they are only going to boost it. He will look like he trying to preserve democracy or integrity.
If you know anyone who might not be educated about this please, please talk to them and tell them that it's not okay to compare farmers to white supremacists.
