OOUUUHHH MODK I MISSED YOU ILY U IMPROVED SO MUCH
Translation: Thank you very much!! ModK: THANK YOU VERY MUCH??? ;;A;; I KNOW IT'S BEEN YEARS AND I'VE WORKED REALLY HARD TO GET BETTER AS;DLFKJ ILY TOO?? WHO ARE YOU??? COME TO ME OFF ANON PLEASEEEE!.
Iâve never been into Dan and Phil but I did watch Dan Howellâs coming out video, and Iâm happy for him.
But hereâs the thing. He said some things in that video that are going to piss off a lot of gatekeepers: that heâs most comfortable with queer, that the word he has trauma around is gay, that acephobia is bad, that we should respect microlabels (âmogai labelsâ). What this means is that there are probably a lot of very angry exclusionists going through all his past activity as we speak to dig up something they can use to discredit him. If heâs had a significant internet presence since 2009, they will find something.
The reason Iâm saying this is that you may very well see some extreme and sensationalist accusations about him suddenly coming to light. Before you believe or spread them, you have to find out what the evidence is, what the context was, whether the facts actually support the specific accusations that are being leveled, and whether the op has any motive to fabricate it, exaggerate about what happened, or exclude important details.Â
Weâve seen this happen to other queer youtubers after they said things that exclusionists didnât like, and I donât want to watch it happen again. Be careful.

Everything is the same,but...
In Bungou Stray Dogs; Liveaction, Kunikida is played by Gordon Ramsay
Ryuu headcanons nobody asked for
Sleeps curled up like a shrimp Hoards all blankets Blanket burritos Writes poetries Throws them to bin quickly afterwards Cries at disney movies Still salty that Aurora from Sleeping Beauty ( that b*tch) gets a happy ending Does occasional gigs for model photoshoot Wrinkles his nose like a cat A sad drunk Has pet cats (2 currently) Likes spicy food (makes good curry) Has Nordic cousins (Elsa is a joke I sweah) Used to do ballet but has a massive stage fright when performs solo Likes playing nerdy boardgames (DnD eeeyy) Dislikes fish, unless steamed or in soup
Someone whose entire family was immediately accepting when they came out:Â anyway if you donât cut all of your homophobic family members out of your life, youâre enabling homophobia!!!
People really think that after years and years of being absolutely vile to aces and aros, they can just claim theyâve changed their stance and everyone has to believe them and treat them like nothing happened. Sorry, but thatâs not how it works. Once youâve actively taken part in a hate movement that completely decimated a community and forced thousands of people to recloset themselves, you actually have to earn back peopleâs trust, and no one ever has to forgive you for hurting them over and over again.

How to respond to the Disney monopoly
Also known as: Why trying to boycott Disney movies wonât work and what you should do instead
(I know this isnât super on-brand for this blog, but it is a media blog and we all benefit from one company not owning literally all of our media)
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and Frozen 2 are probably both going to make a billion dollars. You can encourage all your friends to boycott them, but thatâs not likely to work. Trying to convince people to give up a franchise theyâve been invested in for years is a losing battle, and blockbuster franchises make so much money that youâd have to convince an awful lot of people in order to even make a dent. In the grand scheme of things, it doesnât matter that much to Disney whether those movies make $1.2 or 1.3 billion.Â
BUT donât let that discourage you. We just need to direct our energy to attainable goals. That $100 million could be the difference between a movie from a different studio kicking off a successful franchise versus being considered a failure.Â
A big part of keeping Disney from gobbling up even more IP is keeping other studios strong. Here are some upcoming movies from franchises not owned by Disney that you can support. Look them up and put the ones youâre interested in on your calendars. Release dates are for the US.

A lot of studios currently have franchises that arenât doing well or have tried to launch franchises in the past couple of years, only to have the first movie fail. We can sit on tumblr and complain about Disney all day, but none of that changes the fact that people didnât show up for Ghostbusters (2016) or Sabanâs Power Rangers or LEGO Movie 2. Just shit talking Disney movies doesnât actually do anything to help the situation. You have to support other studios when they try to compete.
