💫#ModoMio . Do you know where are Val d'Aosta, Lombardia and Veneto? I had no idea until I discovered ModoMio restaurant, which is an amazing restaurant of Italian cuisine 😻 here in Los Angeles in Sherman Oaks and Pacific Palisades. I think the world would be so much tastier and happier if there were national days of Italian cuisine. We already have a National Lasagna Day on July 29 in the US ⭐️, but how about Profitroles Day! And Carpaccio Day! Mine favorite would be Tiramisu Day, of course 🍮😋. So I’m desperately in love with Italian food now and have come up with a menu for all 12 months (ideas from ModoMio's menu) and what in my opinion should be a national month for what. Buon appetite! 1. TORTA DELLA NONNA for cold February mornings to stay warm (Homemade recipe. A fresh apple tart, served warm, with a hint of lemon zest in an almond crust). 2. CARPACCIO FANTASIA in March to start fantasizing your next vacation because we’ve all had enough of winter already (Thinly sliced raw beef topped with arugula & shaved parmesan). 3. ZUPPA DI GAMBERI if March wasn’t enough and you want some more interesting combinations and inspiration in April (Shrimp and clams in a tomato broth with fresh herbs). 4. TIRAMISU for charming May sunsets when chocolate+espresso is all you need to kill it (Ladyfinger cookies soaked in espresso and Kahlua, layered with mascarpone cream and topped with shaved chocolate). 5. NAPOLETANA is all you need in June because it’s vacation time and you’ve always wanted to go to Italy! (Tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil, olives, capers, anchovies). 6. LASAGNA DI VERDURE in July, because July 29 is the National Lasagne Day, you know (Wide strips pasta layered with minced fresh vegetables & herbed ricotta, topped with provolone cheese). To be continued… -- What are your ideas for foodie National days? Will give a shoutout in stories to the most creative replies 😘 #alinalosangeles #modomiorestaurant #italiancuisine #italianfood (at Modo Mio Sherman Oaks)
