Module 07
(My laptop will not connect to Penn State wifi at the moment, so I am working on this from my cell phone. If there are any spelling errors, I apologize. Also, because I do not have wifi, I will be uploading the images after this post, switching the order in which I usually post them.) Module 07 turned out to be more relaxing and fun than I had intended. Though I was not able to complete this work in class, I had my girlfriend, Jenna, act as my assistant. I took images of three different subjects, all lit at multiple angles. The first cluster of images I took were with orbies (not sure of the spelling!) that I was given by Jenna's younger sister earlier that day. Since I could not do much with the background color (as they were soaking in a white bowl), I lit them from under, the side, and the top. It was very interesting to see the difference the lighting made on how clearly you could see them. The second shoot I did used a craft I made the prior week. I made a calming glitter bottle to help with my anxiety and depression, and I knew that it was going to make an amazing subject for photographing. I lit the bottle the same ways as I did the orbies, but my favorite is the image that lights the bottle from the top (with the lid taken off). The last shoot I took was of a new camera I got from Goodwill. Though I have no idea how to work it yet or if it will even work, I got some great photos of it. The same technique was used for the lighting of the camera, as well.
