- The beauty industry hunting (used to before hybrids were seen as equals) moths and others for their scales for clothing and makeup, another easy side hustle for moths who are more shiny

- Yes Makarov has managed to moth dust someone in the eyes many a time when needed especially on larger hybrids who did not have an extra lid to help

- There are moth dust baths that help when a moth is losing scales and most times most moths let them be collected for jewelry reasons

- When in makeup the moth scales are finely ground and softened until there are no sharp edges and can be safely used

- On the topic of being pretty, moths eat their own fluff and the hybrids look like bug cats licking themselves, rehydrating fluff and thoroughly getting old loose fluff and scales from themselves

- Moth saliva, especially during grooming, is thick and produced little at a time so the hybrids specialized hands can work it into fluff (and fur, hair, head feathers depending how much someone would let a moth loved one groom them)

Moth!Mak in the deal cult au would have a big thing about eating together...

He would be behind someone, his hand immovable on their jaw as he whispers the process of decay to them, "Your body recycles itself before you ever realize it. Old, used cells tearing themselves into usable parts..." The moth would make them drink a light sugar water. Maybe wine. Run a hand down their arm... "Feel the way your blood sings? Glucose is the very basic of most fuel. It is what feeds your blood, traveling in a plasmic solution."

He would start them with rare cuts and go down in cooked presentations until they're eating raw with him. Push into instincts, into wants, cultivates the hunger and directly links it to pleasure and destruction.

Unlike his human counterpart, moth!Mak would take pride in being a decayer and rubs against his Konni, scenting them as his. He'd personally tend to wounds if he scents even a hint of blood, finding debris with sharper accuracy due to his slower sight being able to focus on a "frame" longer than a humans vision typically lets them.

A moth!Mak makes death cult Konni terrifying in the way he trains them to fight and navigate sightless like he does. Scent, wind, sound, heat, pressure. From insects benefitting the most to their animal brethren and last their humans following as back up and padding.

But all of them would be trained to be able to fight without needing sight, a couple of defensive moves to being able to tell what an opponent is using and where the force of their hit is centered on. Of course adjusting for the fact not everything can be felt out safely when machetes and karambits exist and hidden guns could easily be pulled out.

So their style also focuses on quick takedowns. Neck snaps, choking, jugular slicing if able. Even the humans keep long nails, reinforced with supplements, to cut as well as their hybrid comrades.

Moth!Mak in the death cult would make his people hunters...and it'd be a hungry fucking group of hunters with a taste for chasing prey :>
