We thought it's about time that we share a wonderful piece of news with you especially because without your constant support, ‪#‎MOFOCHILI‬ would not be where we are today! So, here goes..

In the past few months, we have been busy setting up our restaurant and bar in the beautiful island we are all familiar with (some of us a bit too much), ‪#‎Bali‬, ‪#‎Indonesia‬!

‪#‎MOFOKITCHEN‬ is being set up as we speak and it will be our honour to have you attend our grand opening on 22 March 2016.

Details will follow but in the meantime, please mark your calendar and we hope to see you there!

Christmas.. Today?!

Yes! You read that right! Did you know that for many of us in the more Northern hemisphere of our lovely planet Earth, Christmas did not fall last month? Christmas is happening TO-DAY, yes the 7 of January! 

This is because some countries, such as Russia, where most hold the beliefs of Orthodox Christian, still use the Julian calendar, which was created under the reign of Julius Caesar in 45 BC. This is unlike the majority of countries which have switched to the Gregorian calendar, originally proposed by Pope Gregory in 1582. Thus, this discrepancy in the dates, where in Julian calendar, December 25 falls on Gregorian’s 7 January. 13 days difference, but technically it’s still December 25th that is being celebrated - Christmas day. 

So hey! If you need any excuse to celebrate the day, what more perfect excuse, and what better way to celebrate the spirit of giving than to give your loved ones a bottle of our very own Final Destination, Dodge the Bullet, or MOFO Gunpowder? ;)

At MOFO CHILI, we never fail to experiment and try different chilis and spices that are available in different countries.

First stop in 2016, we went to Ping An Village of Long Sheng Rice Terraces in China and savored their local fresh garlic chili. What started out as a curiosity, ended in 3 bottles of goodness for our home back in Singapore.

Our verdict? A nice pinch of garlic goes a long way and it is indeed tasty! What do you think?
