This Oc Tober entry may be one of my favorites so far. Day 17 for my challenge is Leader. I wanted to do Rita, but thought it would be even more perfect to draw Betauniverse Rita. She really takes charge in this au. For those who don’t know what the Betauniverse is, it’s an alternate timeline where Odin attacks Spencer so badly that he’s gravely injured. Odin exiles himself and Mr. S is taken in by the MOJ and turned into a weapon for them essentially, a husk of his former self. Things go badly for the MOJ though, and Mr. S himself takes control of the whole operation, with a goal of marmalising everyone. Rita leads a rebellion, with the hope that she will be able to save everyone who’s been marmalised, including Spencer himself.

I wanted to include a few other characters in this illustration but also wanted to be able to finish it so I could get more OC Tober finished haha. Odin is intentionally left out though, as in this au he’s more hidden, he does watch over Rita and tries to protect her from afar but knows she does hold a lot of anger and distrust for what he did. Sir Nem is also a character I imagine got marmalised quite early on, the type to sacrifice himself to allow the others escape. Another detail I want to point out is that some of the Freedom Fighters will dress in a style similar to those in the Ministry and wear face masks/bandanas with smiles to blend in!

Also…I may be a bit obsessed with Rita’s racing snail tattoo. She may have become a snail mum in the main canon. Remind me soon to draw Rita with her pet snails!
