Epiphany

"Look up," said the sky to the sea, "you'll see me just before the horizon."

"Behold me," said the sea to the sky, "you'll see me just as I touch the shoreline."

And though they gazed into each other somberly, they realized how lonely they both were, standing side by side, their skin barely touching, their silences filling each others breaths with solitude.

(This is how it feels to be with your fellow man and know only aching isolation.)
