Emancipator

I've had the pleasure of meeting Doug Appling twice, first time on my birthday (when I got the both of us shitfaced due to a numerous amount of birthday shots) and then to shoot this show.  Unfortunately the first time I had never heard any of his music so when I was asked to go with a friend to go pick up Ott I went along.  It wasn't until a week later when an Emancipator tune played on my Pandora station that I realized what I had missed.  Doug has since become my favorite producers, his music can bring you to tears one day, bring you joy another, and turn you on the next.  His sound is jazzy, soulful, beautiful, and completely unmistakeably him.  Live he is even better, Doug expels passion when he preforms.  And, when coupled with Ilya Goldberg's superb violin skills and Paper Tiger singer Molly Kummerle's amazing voice. he produces a show that will stick in your memory forever.  I assure you I will never miss an opportunity to see Doug play again.
