Headcanons under the cut

They are so adorable!!!! I am so obsessed with them!

I hc them being paired for a random Astronomy project in 4th or 5th year and Andy (and Bella) had been obsessed with Molly since they were kids but she was from a middle-class working class family so they never were allowed to be seen around her so when she was paired with her she was slightly flustered but very excited too. And Molly had had a crush on her forever but was much more comfortable with it but just assumed Andy didn't feel the same way about her because she was Andromeda Black why would she want her?

Basically after a few weeks of orbiting around each other and hanging out in the same circle on a late night in the library after Arthur and Ted left the two of them, Molly asked Andy why she was friends with her Molly said "Because you're amazing and smart and kind and pretty a-" and basically tried to backtrack and say she didn't mean it like that and Andy said it was okay that Molly was pretty and funny and so smart and she loved her and then she started to panic but before she said anything Molly just instinct kissed her and then she started to internally panic and then Andy kissed her back and then when Andy went to leave Molly said she loved her and that if Andy didn't feel the same she would completely understand and never mention it again and Andy said she loved her too. Then after a few days Andy asked to talk to Molly privately and said that if Molly was willing to she wanted to be together and after "thinking" about it (for all of 2 seconds) she said she would love to be with Andy and they've been together pretty much ever since.

In a non-magic au, they met at a farmer's market or they were co-workers or something. I could also see them as florist x barista or academic rivals (Molly not really being very competitive but loving to see her get frustrated and having her attention so staying in the "competition" anyway).

I absolutely see them opening a bed and breakfast in the countryside or in Scotland (where Molly's family is originally from) and having their friends and family around once in a while or hosting the events. Molly ofc being the cook and Andy taking care of the customer service side of things (Gilmore Girls au?) Andy making the pastries and helping with the desserts.

They're favorite dates are painting together, coffee dates or getting take out and watching Gilmore Girls (or whatever their show is at the time or watching cheesy romcoms on the couch with their pets), going record hunting/shopping, thrifting, going to farmers markets/flea markets or selling sourdough goodies (it's originally Molly's sourdough starter named Berty (itxs full name is Alberta Jane Prewett) and no one is allowed to touch Berty except Andy) or Molly's jam and apple butters or Molly's crochet/knitted blankets, hats and scarves or crafts.

so, i think they met at a pureblood ball organized by the blacks when andromeda was in second year. she's gotten enough of the crowd and decided to sneak off of to the forest on the black estate she frequented when she wanted to be alone, but found that someone was already there.

molly prewett, who she knew from sight, was sitting on her favourite tree with the muggle book in hand she hid there from her parents.

at first, andromeda found the girl strange, but they kept meeting there every time a ball was held and slowly became friends. they started hanging out in school too, even though molly was a year above her.

andromeda always knew she liked girls as well, but molly was her first girl CRUSH.

they got together in andy's fourth year, but broke up quite quickly. no hard feeling, just they realized that they would do each other a favour by letting each other go before it was too late. kinda like a right person, wrong universe type thing!

they stayed friends after, and helped each other through both wars. molly was there for andromeda when she lost her husband, sister and daugther and andromeda helped her with grieving fred.

in a modern au they would be history students together, or molly would work at andy's favourite cafe. they would have the cutest library dates and watch the sunset from molly's window.

they have an autumn kind of love.

molly loved andromeda's slight french accent, andy adored molly's dimples.

they share clothes.

often snuck out to the edge of the forbidden forest, because they liked the smell of cold night air and the quite they could only find when it was late at night.

molly's parents loved andromeda. she spent a lot of time at hers during breaks.
