Sirius had wandered away from the match, having lost interest when it was between two schools he really had no interest in. He liked Quidditch well enough, but he could only watch so many games he didn’t have any stake in before his attention started to wander, which was how he had found Molly. He should have looked for her sooner - but the truth was, he wasn’t used to it. They had grown a lot closer after he’d left home, and now he couldn’t really imagine his life without Molly in it. He had never been allowed to know her before. Although his parents had never said it in so many words, it hadn’t been hard to figure out that anyone related to him (or not, for that matter) that didn’t share their views exactly were not to go near their sons. Something that had only helped drive Sirius away from them quicker, much to his benefit.
So he found himself excited to run into her, especially when they both had a day off, and he flashed her a warm smile as he made his way toward where she was. “Molly!” He wrapped her in a hug when he was close enough, squeezing her once before letting her go. “I didn’t know you were coming - I would’ve found you earlier. Might’ve saved myself a spot of trouble, too.” Sirius winked, taking a step back with a laugh. “Big Quidditch fan, then?” He asked genuinely - he still felt sometimes like he barely knew her.
