You think Scout ever gets depressed and tries to hide it but Engineer can just tell and goes to find his boyfriend to cuddle and give him hot cocoa?
I think that whenever Scout gets depressed he either gets really uncharacteristically quiet and sticks to himself or he becomes a lot more loud as if he's trying to be like "see!! I'm fine!! totally not depressed or anything!!". And I feel like many of the other guys don't pick up on this too much, or at least it might take a little bit for them to notice.
Engie however? If he's in his workshop all day he probably wont notice until late when he realizes that Scout never came in to hang out and immediately knows somethings up and goes looking for him. And it probably only takes him looking at Scout for a moment before he knows something isn't Okay™ and just wordlessly pulls Scout into a hug. Scout probably just melts into Engie and presses his face into his chest and maybe they stand like that for a minute or two before they go to Scouts room/Engie's workshop where Engie just holds him and kisses him and they're just so soft I'm going to cry.
Engie probably has a secret stash of Scouts favorite snacks hidden away somewhere for this exact reason too. They just cuddle up in a bed and enjoy the snacks. After a little prompting Engie might get Scout to talk about what's up, but sometimes he just doesn't feel up to it and Engie presses another kiss onto his temple and pulls him closer and they just stay like that until they fall asleep and o(-( I hate them I hate them they make me so soft
