There was a confident smile on his face as he slashed down the next monster, swinging his sword down to flick off any blood that had gotten on the blade. Blue eyes glanced at Yui, who had also seemed to be having fun as well, perhaps more so than himself.

Standing by her side, he sliced down another monster. It didn’t matter how dangerous or how outnumbered they were, all that mattered was the thrill of the battle. Slicing down yet another monster, his eyes flicked to Yui before the widened and he was running towards the other, not caring for the danger he put himself in only caring that he was protecting someone dear to him.

Despite the pain burning across his back, he smirked as he pulled away, ready to keep fighting. 

“Losing your touch already, Yui?”

The pirate yawned tiredly. She had been up all night keeping her ship from sinking, the dumb storm almost sending her ship to the sea floor. She’d be asleep now but that’d just mess up her sleeping schedule. She was so tired she accidentally bumped into someone.

“Sorry, nano ja *yawn* I didn’t see you there,” she apologized. She needed coffee. But Seifer had always told her to never drink any.
