Title: I Can Be Your Hope

She had lost faith. You could see it in her eyes, Momo lost hope after that trial, she didn’t think she could do it anymore. Even if it was her goal, she was starting to doubt she could become a hero. 

In the middle of that break between class and class and taking advantage of the chaos as everyone talked to someone else and didn’t pay attention to you, you walked closer to her. She seemed worried, absent even, which was rare in her. 

“Hey” You dedicated her a soft comforting smile. “Are you eating your head again?” 

Momo pursed her lips tightly and even though she looked at you for a moment, she averted her eyes soon after. 

“Maybe I’m not as good as I thought” She shyly told you. 

You could understand her doubts, all of you were competing against each other and it often broke your spirits. Especially against Bakugo and Todoroki, and lately Midoriya as well. But that didn’t mean you couldn’t do it. 

“I know you lost hope” You dared to hold her hands, tenderly, in yours. “But I can be your hope” 

“What? Y/N…” Momo blushed, but didn’t let go. 

“I’ll be here to remind you how great you are when you’re feeling hopeless” 

She finally smiled, a genuine, fond and relaxed smile. You hadn’t seen her smile in days until now.
