It's that time of year again, friends! 11 years ago today, (pic one) the universe saw fit to give me the baby I dreamed of my entire life and mourned when I had my ability to create a life taken from me. My mother always said "never give up". She even put it in writing to me in cards and journals over the years. Not long after she passed, I took my baby to a park, sat down and saw the words scrawled on the bench beside me (two). Tonight, we went and celebrated our beautiful life with dinner (three and four) We laughed a lot (always do!) And told each other how grateful we are to be mother and son. You are my everything, my beautiful boy. I am filled with pride, joy and awe daily by the privilege of being able to raise such an amazing, compassionate, funny, talented human.
