860-880 lake shore drive apartments personal reflection
i think it’s amazing that this building is one of the inspirations for other tall beam buildings in chicago. for the area, the building has a very modern appeal. in a few of my pictures i tried to capture the contrast between the modernism and some of the older designs of buildings that are close. the marble and glass structure gives it a very uppity modern feel. i can’t imagine it being a bad neighborhood, in fact the neighborhood had families walking aorund with dogs, so i think it’s a little more of a rich, young neighborhood.
museum of contemporary art personal reflections
i really wish the museum didn’t cost seven dollars to enter and explore. i think the building is very modern and the grand front steps of the museum reminds me of the new york met. i tried to capture a few good pictures of the railing with the lights of the museum in the background’s soft light.
