vader wanted to snatch his hand back. it was his instinct. he hadn’t been touched in - no! he didn’t want to think of shmi, his mother. he didn’t want to think of a time and a place where he’d been loved and cared for. he didn’t need that anymore.

as padmè pulled his hand closer, still covered in the thick black leather gloves, and he knew he could shove her away; he could even kill her if he so desired, and he did. vader wanted to kill her, but he wouldn’t. not couldn’t. and it seemed like such an insignificant difference, but it was everything. he could kill her, and it’d be so easy to snap her neck or strangle her, but he wouldn’t. she’d sunk her clutches into whatever heart a creature like vader could have left, so he allowed her to pull the glove from his organic hand and bring it to her lips. he sucked in a breathe, too quiet for her to hear, and he felt his hand burn, as if set on fire. for a single moment he remembered what home felt like; he remembered his mom stroking his hair, her love, and then he grabbed his hand back.

“get out,” he hissed. his voice was hard as ice, dark as night, and he left her room, the door slamming shut with all the force he possessed, shaking the ceiling and the walls as he walked away.

libra: what’s your favourite make up brand?

tbh i don’t wear make up ...almost at all. 90% of the time, i’m going around with only lip balm on and when i do wear makeup...it’s only lipstick. but i do like wearing lipstick! that is, when i can remember to put it on. i only have one lipstick at the moment and it’s from the body shop! and i would definitely recommend it just based on the fact that it’s never given me problems, the colour wears nicely throughout the day, and they have a nice range of shades. 

capricorn: what’s the last book you’ve read?

the last book that i finished with spook by mary roach - it’s a non-fiction book, where the author basically takes you through her research into the different scientific practices, experiments, and discoveries that have been done in regards to investigating the paranormal! i enjoyed it because it’s basically a cross-over of two subjects that i am very much in love with: science and ghosts! and roach has a really good sense of humour too and it makes the reading fun! 

and i am currently re-reading stephen king’s pet sematary - which is one of my very favourite books.

may flowers grow in the broken places, cracked bones and rippling skin, where the sunlight filters through onto the muddy earth in the spaces between.

i don’t know if it’s healing or forgiveness that i’m after. i know i ask too much of myself, and too little of those around me. may i earn my lion’s roar instead of this little whisper.

because the world is changing and i can only hope to change with it. may my tide swell and my moon wax. may the petals bloom before they fall.
