1) You’re so right about those annoying people who write anti-comments on posts. I imagine these are low life sad individuals who hope that their anti/negative comments will demotivate and put off the artists and gif makers from creating more content of them. I see it all the time on popular Naruhina posts and ESPECIALLY popular Sasusaku posts. Theres always annoying anti’s who have to post their stupid crap about how they dislike the ship or how one of them should have ended up with some1else
2) It’s gotten to the point now if I see a popular Naruhina or Sasusaku post with a lot of notes then I simply never click on the notes to see the comments because I already know there will be a lot of anti’s commenting their stupid typical garbage comments. These people know their ships didn’t succeed and become canon whereas other ships became canon and continue to grow and get more content so the anti’s now have to try and resort to trying to pull the successful ships down because they’re
3) miserable individuals and being negative about canon ships is all they have left to cling on to. If a post becomes popular then it’ll eventually end up being seen by anti’s who then make their annoying comments and reblog it (most likely to share it to other anti’s so they will make negative comments too) and likely in hopes to try and demotivate the artist from continuing to post it. Best thing to do is always block them and always delete their comments from the notes.
Final) Sorry for the long rant! But just know your not alone, this is something myself and the majority of people on tumblr who post ship art feel the exact same way you do about these annoying anti comments on the notes! As always, make sure to just block and delete their comments and it’ll make your life so much easier! Thank you for your asks! But really thou, I don’t mind the logical antis. I mean all of us has something that we likes and dislikes (for eg : They don’t like certain pairs because of x x x reasons, okie I get it. Make sense? Some “yes”. Some “no” . I may not agree with them but we can try to stay in our own lane with respects or maybe not interact) but what I can’t stand the most are the childish behaviours and the extremists. I really really dislike the extremists. When I say it like this, the person who tagged my fanart really become so trivial compare to some of the problematic antis but then… they were making fun of how I made the pair Saiino…. “heterosexual”.
I didn’t even say that Sai is straight but I don’t shove people with canon facts into their face because what is canon in naruto fandom even? I draw what I prefer. And they can do the same. Aren’t we all living in our own kinds of interpretations? I have seen tons of cute and amazing fanarts out there with other pairings which I really do love and some even did change my perspective on the pairings. So why don’t we just enjoy? If you dislike it just ignore or block them. I am a little bit salty because I feel like that was a bit unnecessary to write negative notes when they can just choose not to. To be honest, I was expecting more on Tumblr (yeah i know it sounds weird to expect things from tumblr) But I really have seen worse comment on Instagram written down like “ someone need to commit genocide against the entire naruto fandom cuz it is cringy” under my fancomic. Yeah People can be toxic.
But you know what happen when antis became too excessive with their delusions?
I called this “A Waste” This is what happened to Karin because some antis keep claiming that Sarada is Karin’s child. Karin’s character got wasted away in the writer’s hand and her role keeps becoming the rebuttal of anti sasusaku ;’DSad, isn’t it?
