Genshin men as fathers
Varka, Lohen
Lohen
————(Schneeflocken - Snowflake)————
• Lohen will do.. surprisingly good as a dad. He takes his knight duties seriously when it comes to his kid, if their peer would dare to cause to them any harm? Yeah they get to meet your insane husband first. Of course he will settle things up by conversation, he is not that absurd as he seems to be, but no one really wants to mess with the vice captain of the fifth company.
• Lohen is definitely not the type of parent to read fairytales or bedtime stories to his child. He tells exaggerated tales of his monster hunts and expositions in Nod Krai with complete sound effects and dramatic reenactment, also inspiring your child to be a future knight like their daddy. So have questions for Lohen regards why the little one is already trying his knight uniform at 5.
• If you’re at work or tired, Lohen has no choice to carry on his shoulder your little one, even if he’s heading to the favonius headquarters for settling paperwork or discussing a thing or two with the “grown ups” meanwhile letting the kid play with Klee or get babysit by uncle Varka, which is surprising because he’s the only person besides you who he trusts with his child.
• Deep down, he worries constantly about being too reckless or unhinged for fatherhood. He’ll stay up late polishing his armor, quietly asking you if he’s doing okay as a dad. One reassuring word from you and he melts, dropping his head on your shoulder with a relieved little sigh.
• At night, when the child couldn’t sleep, Lohen would sneak them out onto the balcony under a blanket of stars. He’d sit with his back against the wall, the kid curled against his chest, head resting on his shoulder just like he used to do with you. In those quiet moments the manic energy softened into something deeply cool and comforting. He’d point out constellations and tell exaggerated tales of his hunts in Nod krai, voice low and warm. Slipping occasionally those cute nicknames
“Meine schneeflocken.”
Varka
• He would just love the hell if that child, no other options
• Varka became even softer after your baby’s birth, always carrying your newborn in his strong arms, But the first time he holds his newborn, he freezes. Those massive hands that can swing a claymore through a horde of Wild Hunt suddenly feel too clumsy, too rough.. He sits there for a solid ten minutes barely breathing, whispering, “By Barbatos.” His usual carefree grin is replaced by pure, wide eyed awe mixed with quiet panic that he might accidentally break this mini miracle.
• Varka is surprisingly cuddly. He loves skin to skin contact, letting the newborn rest against his bare chest while he reclines in a chair, one huge hand gently supporting their head. When the little one finally falls asleep on him, he refuses to move for hours, whispering to you with a soft, proud smile,
“They chose me to sleep on… I think I’m doing alright..”
• Of course Varka as a responsible dad took a proper paternity leave. The man who once led expeditions into the nowhere of Nod Krai simply declared that:
“My little knight needs me more than any paperwork in the world!”
• He took every nighttime feeding and changing without complaint, telling you with a proud, tired smile:
“I’ve stayed awake for days dealing with Lohen’s ambushes all night long, a few sleepless nights with our child is an honor, not a burden.”
During the day he would carry the baby in a custom sling made from one of his old cloaks, proudly showing the little one off to anyone who visited.
“Look at this grip!” he’d boast when tiny fingers wrapped around his calloused finger. “Future Knight of Favonius right here.” Yet under that carefree grin, there was a quiet, fierce protectiveness he refused to let any cold draft touch the baby and would instantly wrap them in his own coat the moment the wind shifted.
