Can you explain the etymology behind Fernleihe? As far as i knew, "fern" meant "tv" and now im curious as to how it's included in "interlibrary loan"

fern means far (away)/distant, so Fernsehen means something like to see from far away (Ich sehe fern - I am watching TV), since the TV-signals are coming from afar. Fernleihe means to lend/borrow (something) from far away, another library basically. Hope my explanation wasn't too confusing...

What is dental law???????

it’s a subset of medical law and involves malpractice suits and stuff (that’s probably not even the right term for it honestly)

honestly idk much about it but I printed out a LOT of pictures of rotten teeth and oral health gone wrong during my time at the law firm

that particular lawyer was heavily involved in a lot of medical and dental cases and liked to pretend I was his personal secretary

(he’s also the guy who knew nothing about computers at all)
