“When designing for the dwelling, the main issue is to define the place. The sense of a dwelling project is given by the environment it is situated in. The house itself may reduce to a single room, what matters is the look outwards, the place it relates to, which can be part of the project (courtyard, garden), or something external (street, square, surrounding environment). As the surrounding landscape is part of the house, everything in the house must conform to it. Our research focuses on the best way to establish this relation.”
