Niko x M0nesy is the ultimate blueprint yaoi and had it existed 10 years ago it could've done numbers on Tumblr. The young prodigy x older mentor. A could-be-problematic age-gap. The highs and lows of the competitive environment. Twink x tall buff dude.
But the ship never existed back then bc m0nesy was probably still in elementary school and also nobody talks enough about esports. This is the only ship (kind of*) in cs pro and I wouldn't call it high quality (unless...?) but it's such a cliché in every way to the point where it's impressive.
And in the end, whether you ship it or not, you can't mention one without mentioning the other. Even when talking about Niko playing vs his cousin, it's still Niko -and M0nesy- vs Hunter.
*kyousuke is trying really hard to make kyousuke/ donk happen but since he's a minor I'll stay outta that one
(i don't know enough cs lore but sometimes I see them behave in a way that is completely insane and I just gotta live with that. I'm not Russian and Russians can't really get on most social media atm bc of the war, and the only people who care about cs rpf are the Russians)
