I'm full of chaos energy this week. I made a "lifesize"-ish Dorumon, my favourite Digimon. This was very fun and I tried out a lot of new things.
I have ordered matching faux fur for the tail, which should arrive soonish... It's gonna be so fluffy.

Seekers of Sahul is a traditional Mystery Dungeon roguelite with monster taming, inspired by cult classic Azure Dreams. Explore the Pyramid of Sahul with your favorite monsters, befriend other adventurers and expand the town as you try to uncover the greatest secret in history.
So I don’t recall if I’ve mentioned this or not, but I’ve been doing a lot of commission work this year on a couple different games... and the video game I’ve been doing concept art for now has a Steam page!
(Keep in mind the visuals you see in the trailer and screenshots are not final--they’ll be much more polished when the game comes out.)
If you like monster-raising games like Pokemon, Dragon Quest Monsters, and others, I recommend putting this game on your watch list! It’s going to have a lot of fun features like roguelite gameplay, monsters with 5 growth stages, and in-depth monster care! It’s still pretty early in development, but I’m really excited for it, and I hope you guys will be too!
[ID: screenshot of a website with a header reading “Collect and breed digital NFT Kryptomons” with the subtitle “Get, Take Care, Fight and Breed your Kryptomon.” On the right there is a massive image of a digital egg. End ID.]
Check out what I ran across last night. Wow, a mongame that lets you kill animals IRL
This is also a scam, BTW. :| Some quotes from the “developers”:
[ID: Two screenshots of Medium articles. The first one reads “I do still remember the first time my first Tamagotchi hatched and asked for food, as well as the first time I’ve entered the Pokémon world back in June 2020 with the Yellow version.” The words “in June 2020 with the Yellow version” are underlined.
The second screenshot reads “So how are we going to tackle this? First of all, we need to elaborate the genetic code and define the attributes that will impact as well as the new ones.
Once we have done that it’s time to create the connections between all those attributes: how they are going to work together? Is there any correlation between them? And only when those questions will have an answer we will start implementing the different game actions and mechanics, for example, Training and Feeding, what are the rules of those functions? How often a player could feed or train his Kryptomon, what will impact on all the other attributes etc.
Of course, we are going to share all this with our community, and thanks also to their feedbacks we will get there. (Are you already part of it? if not join us on Telegram).
Kryptomons’ Design
Eheh this one is quite big too, how the Kryptomons will look like? well, today we don’t know it yet.
We are starting now to validate and bounce ideas and sketches, working with several character designers to come up with the coolest 1st gen Kryptomons ever.” End ID]
tl;dr they didn’t discover mongames until LAST YEAR, when they played a Gen 1 Pokémon game, and they decided, after that, to make an NFT-based mongame. Except they have LITERALLY NOTHING MADE except for some images of eggs, a vague idea for how the game works, and the NFTs themselves. (The NFTs, which, by the way, they’ve already made THOUSANDS off of selling.) No coding. No monster designs. No game. Just vague ideas. (And it kinda sucks because some of the ideas sound actually neat, but I don’t trust these guys whose current project involves charging people thousands of dollars for PNGs of eggs and who, again, have NO GAME.)
And again, this is all about crypto. You know, the type of money that is currently causing enormous amounts of environmental harm.
I hate cryptocurrency, man.
