The King in Yellow and Her Crown of Swords

I feel like the Frenzied Flame has some clear literary references to The King in Yellow so I kinda wanted to lean a bit into that for a Lord of Frenzy piece

If anyone can figure out which npc’s hands are here I’ll be impressed since while I was initially going to fully render each hand out normally I ended up deciding that the red silhouettes were a bit more striking

A lot of songs on this album really fit her, especially like ‘The Patient’, which is the song the lyrics above are from. Actually they fit a lot of Elden Ring characters in general. Morgott especially. And then Schism specifically I feel is good for the game as a whole. Thank you Maynard toolband for writing that song about Elden Ring 21 years before the game was released. Yep 100% what that song is about, he told me himself, actually

Tbh tho I don’t know why so many people say Lateralus is the best Tool song. It’s not even the best song on the album. Not even top three, actually <- my hot take of the day
