Kitchen Pedestal Sink: Assemblage - Final

Medium: Green light led, Black thread, Cardboard shipping boxes, Wood shipping pallet, black boots, drywall,  encyclopedia book and plaster.

size :  9 ft x 10 ft

A pedestal is a structure that helps support an object. I decided to create a structure hanging from the ceiling in order for the viewer to walk through it.

In the installation, I used the plaster to cover the cardboards, boots, and a book. In fact, I left a page of the encyclopedia open with  sculptor name “ Brancusi” because he unified in his artworks the object and the stand as one composition. Also, I was inspired by Bruce Nauman's artwork “green light corridor” and I decided to use green  colour to give a perception of the natural environment and a mysterious landscape like rocks and caves because the cardboards have organic forms.

Redo/Undo : The Cannibalized Object

Title: Untitled, 2021.

Medium:  white curtain blinds, thread, plastic, and wood.

Size:  Variable Dimensions

For the project Redo/Undo I decided to use the curtain blinds because I was thinking to accumulate with the wood stripes.  These materials are similar in shape and flexibility, so I created an installation from the ceiling to the floor taking advantage of the lightness.  In addition, I use the thread in order to connect the materials creating a movement of lines traveling in the space in different directions. In conclusion, the place of  the installation is made in way that the viewer can follow the perimeters around it. Also, the lights play the role to create lines  with shadows and abstract shapes on the wall and floor.

DO IT! Project #1

Doodle.

- ARAN, Uri (2012)

  I was recording myself for 6 minutes while a made continuing circles on my sketchbook.  

the movement of the circles change in rhythm from slow to fast because of the mood in each minute.

I wanted to demonstrate that when making Doodles my mood is not constant, it becomes more aggressive and confident especially in the time (5:00).  Also, through the gesture of my action I try to write the word “Doodle” as a result.

Appendage project “neutral situation”

This project shows problems of the environment that surround human beings
I created an object with different cavities and geometric forms that support my body.
This is an abstract dynamic form to simulate the natural organisms of coral reef with limestone , sedimentary rock.
The project is covered by salt creating a rough texture such as the on in the coral reef, and it is white and opaque because of the global warming they changes the color of the reef.

Self-Directed Practice - Final 

For this project, I decided to create a painting frame based on the interior design of the house of Deering Estate.

I made three frames that measure 3 ft, and they are decorated with wood. I was inspired by the geometric elements of the wood door, candle lights, and the metal fence in order to valorize the Art Nouveau   and medieval style of the house.
