I think micky and babyface have days where they switch places just to see if they can pass off in public, it helps babyface practice keeping up appearances and being good under pressure and it helps micky with bits and acting. The problem is they've both scheduled this on days that they're supposed to be going on date with one of or multiple of their partners
Omfg yes!!! Babyface and Micky are absolute menaces, even if they're opposites. Let me try to think of somethings that could happen on these dates.
Babyface with the Monkeecule:
-First thing I thought of was Micky definitely likes the most DIABOLICAL food combos and maybe on a stay-home-date-night one of them (probably Peter, as all the sauces Micky likes are too sticky and yucky for Davy and Mike is busy making all of the actual food) makes it for him. So Babyface, pretending to be Micky, has to stomach a disgustingly wet and foul sandwich.
-The Monkees try to take Micky hang-gliding (I know irl Micky was into that for a bit) for his birthday date. Unfortunately Babyface is absolutely terrified of heights. Guns, knives, poison, fistfights he can do. Feet off the ground? under no uncertain terms.
-The Monkees figure out when they're swapped pretty fast. Micky is a very unique person. Even if Babyface can emulate him well in public, there's no way his partners can't tell.
-Unfortunately, Davy once tried to initiate a romantic kiss with who he thought was Micky (of course, Babyface told him right away. That is a loyal man!). Davy was not pleased and it took a lot of apology smooches on Micky's part to make it up to him.
Micky with the Doppelcule
-Gwen HATES when they do this. She already over compensates with violence and acting superior because of how badly she was treated in her kingdom (I love how @jathis mapped out her backstory, so definitely check that out!!). After being kidnapped and betrayed by her fiance (even if she didn't like Harold), she hates being tricked. It hits a little too close to home sometimes, so Babyface tips her off when Micky spends the day with them.
-The Doppel's date is at a carnival. They're initially suspicious when 'Babyface' buys an absurd amount of cotton candy, but its finally proven to be Micky when he fails miserably at those shot gun carnival games.
-Ludlow was a little disappointed that Babyface wasn't there, but he was more than happy to hang out and catch up with Micky.
-Alexei spent the rest of the night looking for any way to differentiate their appearances. He didn't really mind when they swapped for random days, but he wanted a sure-fire tell for romantic times.
All
-They made a formal switch at the end of the night like divorced parents making a custody exchange. Both groups originally planned to go home straight after switching back, but then decided to spend the evening together telling embarrassing stories about Micky and Babyface as revenge.
