Whoopsy, I did it. I rewarded myself for finishing a chapter of big fic ... by writing a new smaller fic. One more chapter to come after this. But 1980s Peter and Mike keep drowning out their younger counterparts, so I have to let them have their moment before I go back to 1966.
Summary: It’s early l986, and Michael Nesmith gets a call at the Pacific Arts offices from someone claiming to be Peter Tork. But he hasn’t spoken to Peter in years. It couldn’t actually be him ... could it? And what could he possibly want?

Hellooooo!!!! I just wanted to say that I Loooooooove your Prince au Monkees fic! Two of my favorite things, Monkees, and random aus :p BUT anyways, it really got me through a depressing time with those silly little guys running around in a castle and in gardens, especially loved the representation with transmasc Davy :D and you've inspired the silly little idea in my head for a western au Monkees to respark! Chapter 15: Trains, Helicopters, and Beverly Hills
Summary: Mike does his best to look forward and not back after the whirlwind trip to the east coast and everything that happened there with Peter. Peter reconnects with his girlfriend Leah and resolves to give Mike a little space. As much as is possible when they are still seeing each other practically every day—like at the huge KHJ Radio promotional concert. And then everyone meets at Bert Schneider’s Beverly Hills house for the premiere of The Monkees. Bob causes tension with virtually everyone.
As much as I'd love to write Torksmith smut into every chapter, the boys do need a break now and then ;-)
You all know my feelings about Bob Rafelson, so I'm not sorry for writing him being a total dickhead to everyone who crosses his path.
