YAAAAY I'm so glad!! I love the Doppelcule and I really wish there was more content. I have a few fics in my drafts that I want to finish and now that I'm off from college I will hopefully have more time to complete and post them. I am also starving for more!
And I agree Ludlow is my BABY I love him so much.
I have a couple hc! They are mostly just making things up, so please excuse any canon divergence.
(Also a lot of these are inspired by @jathis Doppel series, because its soooooo good and creative yippeeee)
All:
-I don't have a reason they all live together, tbh, but in my head they live in an almost exact replica of the Pad completely coincidentally
-They lived together for about a year before getting together romantically
-All of them are bisexual, except for Alexei who is pan. He gives me the vibe of not caring about gender
-Their genderbent names would be Babydoll, Gwynplaine (or just Gwen still), Ludlow (a girl's name in Peruvia, as opposed to a British boy's name), and Alexa
Ludlow:
-After Ludlow and Wendy went on their honeymoon, they amicably decide to have a platonic marriage. I think this makes a lot of sense because Ludlow is not what Wendy wanted as a husband at all and realistically (ik realistic and Monkees doesn't go together but whatever) I think she'd be happier to be with a guy she's actually attracted to. But, for the sake of ruling Peruvia in the future, they'd stay together platonically
-He loves romance, but is only now getting to express that love because he had been focused on getting married for his place in line
-His parents are alive and still ruling Peruvia (in the episode they're just securing his throne, it doesn't say he's about to be king (excuse))
-He stayed in contact with the Monkees
-His love language is gift giving
-Lowkey clingy, but his partners don't mind
-Has a strong sense of morality and still feels guilty for tricking Wendy
-Once traded places with Davy for a laugh, The Monkees and the Doppels figured both of them out very quickly. Gwen was not pleased and Alexei had to hold her back from stabbing poor Davy.
Alexei:
-Alexei and Natasha are very affectionate friends. She still thinks he has the most beautiful face in the world, but there's gotta be more to a relationship than a face and a common background (my excuse)
-A dancer like Natasha
-A very touchy person
-His love language is acts of service
-Likes live drawing
-His voice is a little monotoned, so sometimes the Doppels (especially a very anxious Ludlow) cannot tell when he's joking
Gwen:
-Her full name is Gwendolyn
-Comes from fairy-tale land; accidentally transported to the showverse when Mike unknowingly did an impression of her in a magic mirror while they were performing a play
-Met the Doppels when Babyface used the playhouse as a temporary meeting place with his gang while the bar was being investigated. One of the members of his gang tried to shoot her, but her *Magic Locket* protected her
-Loves dressing super fem and fashionable
-Somehow, her fairy-tale accent is just Texan
-Violent and domineering
-Plays as though she's tough and unaffectionate, but often she'll pull Ludlow into her lap, or wrap her arms around Babyface when he's working (She'll claim she's trying to distract him), or knock Alexei's ushanka off his head and run her fingers through his hair
-Very protective of her partners
-Love language is stolen kisses
Babyface:
-Escaped prison due to the confusion during the mix-up with Micky at the end of ep 25
-Originally held contempt for the Monkees but begrudgingly called a truce when Ludlow asked him to
-Like Gwen, very protective of the three of them
-Cannot swim
-Since his episode, decided to let his hair go curly to differentiate him from Micky (When he found out Micky did too, he gave up on trying)
-Love language is also acts of service
-Secretly loves the circus (He never misses the very long running Burke and Walsh circus when it comes around)
-Uses 'dirty rats' as an insult without knowing it is a reference.
