i know in the books monkey fights metatron with marisa but nothing makes me more emo in the show as the fact that being able to separate from him and all the pain that caused is the thing that the whole fucking plan hinges on AFTER THEY FINALLY MAKE AMENDS the self love and self acceptance and the healing that represents but she needs monkey to stay back and flip the switch for her while she confronts metatron and that’s what saves the day!!!!! and it was only possible because she was able to live with the pain of being separate from him my HEART
