StartSomeGood News: Help save an organic habitat for monkeys!

Brand New Good! Recently launched campaigns:

Align MD Foundation brings medical care to underserved populations throughout the world. They share tips and expertise that will last long after they leave, thus developing sustainable emergency medicine systems in the places that need them most. The tipping point goal of $1,200 will cover half of the major expenses for a mission trip to Ghana.

The Monkey Farm, an organic farm and habitat of howler and white-faced monkeys, is in danger of being burned down. To prevent this, they are raising funds to create a natural fire break. Reaching their tipping point goal of $10,530 will allow them to erect a fence and get a few grazing animals to begin creating a fire break.

People-Powered Game for Good is a virtual play-acting environment where templates, games, and more are used to bring collaborative dreams alive. They are looking to raise $50,000 to complete phase one of their pilot script, develop their rules of engagement, and create the initial foundation for the we-source library.

CounterAct is looking to raise at least $4,500 to support the development and delivery of training to activists on issues of environmental and social justice across Australia. 

A Little Less is raising money to buy food, clothes, and other essential food pantry needs for the community it serves in the southeastern Wisconsin area.

The Duty of Design’s success kits provide those in need with tangible empowerment tools. Their passion is to create a world where everyone, regardless of their financial limitations, can enter the workforce on even ground. Getting to their tipping point goal of $875 would allow for 50 participants to receive a basic success kit containing 10 customized resumes and cover letters, 25 business cards, and a catalog-carrier envelope. 

The Welcome Centre is seeking community support of $80,000 to achieve their goal of redeveloping the indoor and outdoor space of their space to better facilitate new and existing programs.

Chiko Roll had a modest $400 AUD goal to fix ‘Chiko’, a cooker that feeds 42 kids and 4 adults 3 meals a day. However, in just a few days’ time, they have already raised well over $900 AUD!

Liwanag at Pag-ibig is raising funds to help the people of Samar recover from the immense tragedy that was Typhoon Yolanda. All funds raised will be deposited into an account started by Western Samar Development Foundation for disaster relief.

Our future leaders need new skills and a global network to ignite change. Amani Institute provides both. Founded on the belief there is a discrepancy in what universities offer and what workplaces demand, Amani seeks to bridge this gap. With over $18,000 raised, they will be able to provide scholarships to enable future leaders to participate in their post-grad certificate program in Kenya.
