so for some reason my brain took this prompt and went: love languages! love languages! love languages!
so. imma sort them into the 5 love languages with explanations for why i think that & then hopefully also get to your two prompts! which i’m saving to my notebook app so i don’t forget <3
Chiro: Very much still a teenager, with personality in flux, his love languages definitely won’t stay the same! But for now, I think Quality Time + Physical Affection are his. This is primarily based on headcanon, tbh, since it goes hand in hand with my theories on Chiro’s past, but! Nevertheless. I could maybe point out Chiro’s Girl--with all of their hand holding & cute dates that mostly involve staring into each other’s eyes--or, again, Night of Fear, when hes so receptive to hugging Nova.
Antauri: Quality Time + Acts of Service. I don’t have a lot of canon evidence to back up these two, but Antauri strikes me as the type who enjoys just spending time with people he loves. Perhaps playing chess, or reading, or sharing a cup of tea. Meditating together, even. And AoS? I feel like he would very much appreciate anyone who shared his burdens/attempted to ease them.
Nova: Physical Affection. Nova is a big hugger! The first thing she thought to do when Antauri came back was wrap him in a hug! And in Night of Fear? She’s constantly clinging to either Chiro or Sprx. Definitely top of her list, imo.
Sprx: Words of Affirmation + Acts of Service. I picked WoA for his primary love language because that’s what he’s always offering other people. Most particularly Chiro & Nova. Constantly. It’s the same for AoS. Magnetic Menace is the most obvious example of this--when he offers to finish up patrol to allow Chiro to go home and watch his favorite tv show.
Gibson: Words of Affirmation + Acts of Service. Gibson very much does enjoy being told that he’s good at what he does, and often feels insecure about his position on the team. (As seen in Brothers in Arms, Night of Fear, and Demon of the Deep.) Acts of Service is more headcanon-y, as I think he would appreciate someone who could help him out in his lab!
Otto: Physical Affection + Words of Affirmation. In the show, we have Otto giving hugs in several different episodes (I believe, correct me if I’m wrong) and we also see a bit of tail twining! (I think.) Which is why I listed Physical Affection first. WoA, though, I picked because of Ape New World, when he tells Gibson that he never seems to appreciate/say anything about his inventions! Which has hurt his feelings! And it isn’t until Gibson shows him some appreciation that he stops sitting on him, lmao.
