30. What piece of yours do you think is underrated?

Hmm I'm not sure about underrated, but one i still love and would like for more attention would be the Alpha dog piece. :3c The song still gets me hyped everytime it comes on. I'd almost want to take a fourth stab at capturing the feeling.

Any particular experiences you had when first playing the deponia series? Favourite moment, Easter Eggs or Twists you‘d like to share?

Or just a moment that stuck with you in particular ?

Ooh hmmmm. Well I only got invested in the story late first game/somewhere in the second. A lot of games I play are at my friend's suggestion (that he's played already) and he loves to say "so what do you think is/going to happen?"

I think it was the radio call with Cletus that I thought it was going to be some twins swapped at birth kinda situation. (Fast forward to the Argus reveal and I'm staring wide eyed at my conspiracy board lol)

I think that toneshift moment with Argus dealing with Seagull has stuck with me, plus the whole section after the Argus reveal. Amongst all the comedy and Rufus shenanigans they both were moments of *'oh'*

do you have thoughts on the deponian and elysian languages? in canon I see them as close dialects but they could totally be more distant for an au! (idk I'll take any excuse to construct a language lol)

Ooooh If I had the capacity I would worldbuild the hell outa Deponia-

Yess a divide between the upper and lower probably started long before Elysiums construction, so I think certain dialect is different. Elysians are a lot more relaxed in speech. They let words run together and don't use harsh toned words (it's all about the chill vibe)

Where as Deponians have a lot of colloquial terms for things, ancient objects that have lost their original word have gained replacements (Elysians could probably look them up). Better to get your meaning across fast than pretty when trading junk or avoiding Organon.

Oh and the Organon- Developed by Elysium but lived on Deponia. They have the accent and historic terms held over from their creators, but have collected Deponian slang interjected. Neither side likes how they speak. (Argus even has a few more modern Elysian traits in his speech...)

Written word is already implied to be different from ours, but I'm not sure which side would have deviated more.

That of course could all be either Headcanon or AU, but I did have an AU specifically where Elysium has been away from the planet for decades and on return there dialects have varied heavily. Argus is the first to start deciphering Elysian due to Organon being the last to really remember them, and Rufus picks it up quite quickly once initial translation is there. I hadn't worked on any specifics (as much as I'd love to aaaa)

Agent Washington was the youngest of his friend group, only by a year or two, but he was always the younger tag-along kid to the older boys activities. They'd bike through the neighborhood, get into general kid trouble, but never left him behind or made him feel left out. So when they all graduated before him he felt the loss of that tight friendship group... and maybe went looking for that camaraderie later in life.

Hi, can i request a mini fic or smth? If you don‘t do requests then pls ignore this. But i really like your OCs for the organon and then i thought: at the end of the third game we saw a few organons escaping just after rufus fell. So what about this: some organons made it to elysium before the highboat was cut off. Up there they got the news that their Bailiff didn‘t make it. I‘d be interested in how the Maintenance Squad adjusts to the news and their new life on elysium. Either way id like to hear your thoughts on this

And what a wonderful idea too!! I've though about some post-game scenarios before, but specifically right after, with the maintenance squad? oooh prime character musing! As such, I've uploaded the first part of what I've written! I hope to go over each of the squads thoughts on the situation.

(Oh and it is following Fork's original backstory of never making it to the highboat, but we'll see if I change me mind ;) )
