fun thing about being me on tumblr

I don’t see ads, but every now and then there are posts that come on my dash that I just scroll past because they are full of what, to me, is incomprehensible nonsense, but aside from how I can’t be arsed I don’t try to block these posts because every time I scroll past one monkeybrain has a thought/feel I can only approximate in words as ‘Yes. Loki-friends very smart, do big maths things I no understand. This tribe has clever people and range of skills, we will survive the winter.’

idk how to break it to monkeybrain that these people might feel familiar - some of you have been on my dash and occaisionally interacted with for years - but in most cases we don’t actually know each other, they live in different countries, we are not collectively contributing to each other’s survival, and tbh most of you fuckers don’t even have winter.

* I’m not saying I couldn’t, if I put in the time and energy, learn enough to understand these posts - it’s just not something I have the budget for, and if I did the prioritisation ranks at ‘on balance I would rather have a skill/knowledge than not have it, but this one is waaay down the list’.
