Day Sixteen - Gumbo Spooky

Deep in the solemn beauty of the Brunch Bog, a group known as the House of Dinn floats upon its bountiful surface of greens and blues. Originating from parts of France and West Africa, they are guided by Madame Fabienne, who created many hauntingly spicy dishes and Mealsters. One famous dish and most common Mealster to encounter is Gumb-O-Wisp, a floating apparition of a shrimp that lights the way for the chefs of the House of Dinn and is a shining distraction to enemies. Although not physically strong, these Mealsters make up for it in cunning and magic—honestly, a dish for the tongue to remember and the bowels to forget.

Day Fourteen - Barbecue Knight

Ever since the Ivory Dish Company arrived, many worn-out employees and vicious supervisors have tried to force chefs to give up their recipes through bribery, blackmail, and even violence through the Molded they controlled. It became so difficult to even step outside without an Ivory Dish Representative trying to coax a recipe from an innocent chef that the Flank Cutters created protectors for their butcher shops and chef under the name: Sir Loin. This living grill of meat and vegetable sported an iron-coated body, a pair of kebab swords, and even the ability to spew flames onto the Molded. Their dedication to their chefs even rivals Ramentaur, so whenever these two Mealsters ever cross paths, they will fight to prove to the other that their chef is the better one.

Day Nine - Fideo Canine

Defending the foraging parties of the Rebano Saboroso, the Fidejo is one of the most loyal of the Mealsters to its Chef. Constantly following the path of its master, this canine made of soup and noodles is usually noted to his blue eyes when calm. Of course, when the Battle Blanket is down on the ground, and the brawl begins, the Fidejo’s eyes change to a ruby red in anticipation of the fight. It is unknown how the Fidejo got this trait, but some chefs of the Rebano Saboroso theorize that the use of ghost stories from the past may have inspired the Secret Spice in some way.

Day Thirty-one - Freebie - Jambalaya Swamp Monster

Swimming through the deep water of the Brunch Bog, there lies a guardian and Main Dish Mealster of Madame Fabienne; Jambayou! Known for its swift jabs with two large dactyl clubs, it is the diligent guardian of the House of Dinn’s base, a vibrant floating town made of wood and rope and held up by four colorfully-painted steamships. It seems to be a loner in personality, but it always seems to follow the sounds of music the Dinnmakers play and will usually try and join in the dancing. This creature is a perfect example of not judging a book on its cover.

Day Eight - Fruit Goblin

Not all Mealsters are made of a complex combination of ingredients like those shown so far; some can be an assortment of fruits or vegetables of the same kind. Take the Goblirsche, for example. Mainly used as helpful gatherers by the Laubhof-Gruppe, these only require a well-prepared dish of ripe cherries to have it turn into a Mealster by the Secret Spice. They may be weak, but they are pretty clever with their tricks and traps, which they love to set up across the orchards. From Sliced Apples to Diced Zukinis, these simple dishes are the perfect Mealster for new Chefs!

Day Twelve - Cookie Parasite

One of the most insidious Mealsters to face off against is a swarm known as the Sugarmites, sugar cookies made by the Confectionary Outcasts. Like eating sugar cookies, once one latches onto one of your Mealsters; it won’t be long before the whole pack clamps down and drains spice. They are difficult to hit due to their quick reflex and can only be hindered if the attack is bitter. If you aren’t careful, your entire team may be wiped out!

Day Six - Pasta Plant

The Trattoria di Pasta is a quaint group of chefs from Italy that has placed their claim in the Mince Forest, creating a town in its center. So, when Secret Spice turned their spaghetti and meatballs into giant treants of pasta, they decided to use them as sentries to patrol the forest, confounding intruders and foes alike. Of course, due to an incident that is best saved for a later entry, they have created a wall around the city, isolating themselves from others. I hope that one day, the Trattoria di Pasta will open back their hearts to the rest of the Land of Feasting, and their walls will fall away to welcome everyone in.

Day Three - Insect Popcorn

This busy and buzzing Mealster is the product of a group from various Hispanic continents known as the Rebano Saboroso! Their use of foraging and eco-friendly farming has been a trading cornerstone for the Land of Feasting, which they sell for Secret Spice. To help create non-invasive crops in their jungles, they rely on Canchitins to weave together biodegradable greenhouses where corn is grown without cutting down trees. They are also good at warding off the Molded, a blight brought upon the Land of Feasting by the Ivory Dish Company, with their mace-like abdomen. We do not know if the Molded were brought here accidentally or on purpose, but the Ivory Dish Company is prospering from its existence.
