M/F OTP: Probably Uhura/Scotty, I have a soft spot for it, and I think he'd treat her really well.

M/M OTP: Kirk/Spock, my ultimate OTP. I just ... T'hy'la. It says it all.

F/F OTP: There's not much choice in the new movies for this, so I'll refer to the original series and say Christine Chapel and Uhura.

OT3: Kirk/Spock/Bones - there literally couldn't be anyone else.

Favorite Canon: Amanda/Sarek. I think they're adorable together, and Sarek is so lost without her.

Favorite Crack: Ooh. Erm. I generally don't do crack pairings, but Scotty/Keenser sounds like it would be hilarious.

Guilty Pleasure: McKirk. While Spirk is my OTP, I do like a little bit of Bones and Kirk.

Pairing I Hate: Spock/Uhura. He just wasn't interested in her in TOS, and then it became canon in the reboot, and I don't like it.

Arthur x Eames: Drabble - Art

During the day, the museum was exactly that. By night, it was entirely a different matter.

There were individual galleries, different themes where the artworks were rotated. They had a Renaissance theme, an Egyptian theme and a Roman theme to name but a few. The caretaker, an elderly man named Stephen Miles took good care of the exhibits, was responsible for changing them over. But no matter how many went into storage, no matter what the theme was, there were two pieces that were always on display.

The first was a portrait, an oil painting of a man in a tuxedo. The man was slender, pale, with slicked back dark hair and beautiful brown eyes. Even as a painting, the eyes were mesmerising. It hung on the wall, pride of place in the centre of the narrow corridor that made up the main gallery. The painting didn’t have a name, but on the back of the canvas was just one word. Arthur. It was widely debated if that was the name of the famous piece, or if it was the name of the artist. But even so, that was all that was written on the card that stood next to the artwork.

These two particular artworks didn’t go together. Their countries of origin weren’t the same, they weren’t by the same artists; they weren’t even from the same time period. But since they had both entered the museum, they were never separated. Miles’ only explanation was that they seemed to have a similar ‘feel’, and he refused to separate them. But that was before the museum started to lose funds, started to get into trouble. And even the two special artworks were not untouchable anymore.

By day, both the statue and the painting stood in their respective positions, admired by the visitors that walked past, studied and examined without a second thought. They were just works of art; nothing more.

By night, that ceased to be true. By night, they became sentient beings. As soon as Miles locked the front doors, they stirred. Both of them had never seen any other artworks come to life before, so the first time the other had stirred they’d been speechless with shock. So far as they knew, they were two of a kind.

“Did you hear the news?” Arthur spoke up, his eyes flickering to look directly at Eames with a downcast expression on his face. “That they intend to close the museum, unless some money can be found. And…” He trailed off.

Eames gave a single, jerky nod. “It appears you are to be sold in three days, darling. Mr Saito seems like a kind man, an art lover. At least you will be put on display as opposed to locked away in storage. And Miles was clever enough to add the small print that on Saito’s death, you will be returned to the museum.”

Arthur replied quietly. “I know. But that doesn’t make up for the long years of silence I will have to endure.”

“I would have thought you would been overjoyed at the prospect of some peace and quiet, Arthur, you’re always lamenting that you need to listen to my inane chatter every night.” Eames joked, attempting to lighten the mood.

Arthur managed a small smile at that. “Mr Eames, inane though your chatter is, it does help get through the long nights here. And your company isn’t unappreciated.”

“That’s practically a declaration of love coming from you, darling.” Eames responded cheerfully, but his expression sobered. “Arthur… if it was possible for marble to love, then know that I would love you to my very core.”

Taken completely by surprise by the words, Arthur was silent for a moment. “I’ll return to the museum, Eames. After all, we are permanent fixtures, one human life span is not so long. We won’t be parted forever.”

“Not permanent.” Eames corrected quietly. “You know as well as I do that paint fades, and there are only so many times you can be restored. And marble chips and crumbles and sooner or later, I will fall apart. Probably after you leave, darling.” He added.

Arthur inclined his head in acknowledgement. “But for as long as we are able, I will find my way back to you.” He promised.

Not another word was spoken between them that night, but they stared at each other until the sun came up and once more they lapsed back into their daily positions, dreading the moment they would be separated, but clinging onto the hope that one day they would find each other again.

1. What is your favorite animal? Why? There's honestly no way to choose... all animals are breathtaking and intelligent creatures in their own way... there are more of them than the human race is aware of! But let's say dolphins, since I got to swim with them and I was blissfully happy! 2. What is your favorite number? Why? One. Because as much as we lean on others, all we have is ourselves at the end of the day. You are responsible for you, first and foremost. You're the only person you can truly trust. 3. What is your favorite colour? Why? This answer changes from time to time... lol... erm... teal? yellow? I like bright spring colors. 

4. List five things you like about yourself. Why? I am calm and respectful to people even if they shove me to the ground and start kicking, because that's how you emerge victorious and with no regrets. I am very organized and tidy. I have a very sweet tooth but I love my green veggies as well. I do an amazing job cleaning... I can clean anything with basic and/or homemade products. I separate Tumblr from my life... when I log off, I am logged off. 

5. List five things that make you happy. Why? Spring days. Churros. My boyfriend. Fluffy, domestic Arthur x Eames fic. Dancing. Because simple things in life are good, savor them! 6. If you could make anyone do anything, what would you make them do? Why? Oh I couldn't possibly say... it would be offensive :)  7. What’s one thing you can’t live without? Why? The blessing of being able to recognize blessings. Contentment is such a gift. 8. Someone offers you a chance at immortality. Do you take it, and why not or why? No. The whole point of making something out of ourselves and helping improve other lives is that our time here is short. I need a deadline, even if it's very fluid... My life revolves around deadlines! 9. If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? Why? People's sense of entitlement. It leads to arrogance and the judgement of others. Fuck that.  10. What are you like when you’re by yourself? Why? Much quieter than anyone would think :) I like to relax and contemplate my life and the world I live in, and reflect on how my day could have gone better, what I have learned... 11. Why? Why....
