Newsflash: removing the romantic aspect of my friendship with my only local romantic partner is not the same thing as "suddenly being single." I'm not a piece of meat. Well I mean, I am technically made up primarily of meat, but I'm not here to be tossed about by dogs who fight over who gets to consume me.
I thought I escaped the worst of monogamy but it came back to bite me, and not in the fun way.
