Sorry if this turns into more of a vent

I've been in a kitchen table dynamic with myself, my primary partner, and her other partner for a little over a year. Recently, I think I've started to feel attracted to my meta. I say "I think" because I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to date her (i don't think we would be very compatible romantically) nor do I have much interest in being sexually intimate without our hinge. I just think she's really pretty and I wouldn't mind cuddling or kissing her when the three of us are together.

But like, how the heck does one broach that sort of subject? There's the usual question of if she's also attracted to me, plus the somewhat noncommital weirdness that could feel disrespectful to some people, and the fact that I never talked to my partner about messy lists (oops).

And is it even worth it when the dynamic is working really well right now?

Okay. To me. It sounds like you're not wanting to change anything about the relationship except cuddling your meta more.

Can you just... do that? I don't see why you couldn't. If they like their personal space and you're worried about infringing, I get that, but like. Start offering to share a blanket with them at movie night and get cozy?? What's preventing that?

Kissing😚 is a step up, I admit, and something I would talk about first. But just to start touching a friend that's regularly in your home a little more frequently? That's normal, friend.

I think you're making it a bigger deal in your head than it needs to be. You can just open with "I'm really enjoying having Meta around, how would y'all feel about cuddle piles?" and go from there.

Hmm, would it make sense if I started using otpa - one true polyamory - for polyamorous ships where they aren't all necessarily dating each other? 0.0 I kinda like the sound of getting even more specific, too. "One true garden party", "one true kitchen table", lol

I wanna add to this if it’s ok?? In Hindu mythology, Chandra, the moon, was originally thought of as a male deity.
