@wusdiswusdat‘s art is Creepy Awesome without falling into mainstream tropes. Her art can get hauntingly familiar, comically startling, or viscerally colourful, though you end up with a sense of curiosity in th end. She is not ‘stuck’ in horror, either; she can make shapely, historical, or simply straightforward art. Her variety of art styles is always fun, though an underlying seriousness ties together the styles. The same applies to her characters; I actually ha difficulty deciding which one I was going to sprite this ArtFight season!
Rúh ended up being simpler... relaxingly easy, actually... than I thought, but I felt pretty satisfied wi the result. Most of Rúh is a pretty simple design, while the carpet easily fit into a pixel-ready pattern. The trickiest part was actually the tassel a the tail. I liked the resulting use of shades of green and blue in the sprite. I also like how the ‘flat on the floor’ pose let me pu the ‘actual size’ sprite in the middle of the top of the area.
If I were to change this, I might simplify the shading, especially on t head.
