It's so much more than growing addicted or obsessed with hedonistic pleasures - their entire reason for being is to sate a never-ending appetite. All they know is that hunger, that lust, that need to be satiated. They'll consume and devour in an attempt to satisfy themselves until they're trapped beneath their own rippling bulk. Then they'll look to you and demand that you aid them in being fed. They order you to help them satisfy their desires. Maybe you say yes out of pity for their endless hunger, or out of fear for their power, or because you want to satisfy your own dark desires. Maybe you say no. It doesn't matter, one way or another, they will be fed...
