Fact about Caelum

Let me tell you one of Caelum’s darkest secrets. Are you ready? Because here we go. Hold on, everybody. The lore’s about to start. 

Due to the failed experiments of genetic mutation and time travel, the Kingdom of Caelum has destroyed hundreds of thousands of alternate universes. Because of Caelum’s oblivious destruction, they let universes be destroyed due to the corruption of their timeline, causing their world to distort and explode. Wormholes have sucked in thousands of people from thousands of universes to Caelum, only for people to glitch out of existence during their travel. Caelum, without knowing, has even caused extinction to the human race in some universes. 

Even if Caelum is now successful with bringing time/universe travelers to their land, the time travelers during their time in the wormhole caused their existence to glitch. Due to being controlled by time and universe, being in a different universe makes the time travelers feel out of place. Not just mentally, but literally, too, causing for their existence to be severely at risk. The longer the time traveler is in Caelum, the more severe their risk gets. And if the time traveler reaches their limit, they will eventually glitch out of existence, causing their existence in their original time period to disappear forever, too. The people in Caelum who knew the time traveler will keep the memory of them. But the presence and memory of the time traveler will fade away from the people who knew them before they got sent to Caelum. Due to the alternation of time, their universe soon becomes distorted, causing their Earth and universe to explode. 

Makoto’s a time traveler. Even if he doesn’t know the consequences, this can be a serious risk for Makoto’s life. Not only did his journey to Caelum bring him benefits like his friends, but it also brought him dangerous consequences, like the possible destruction of the universe he came from. 

Makoto needs to be aware of this. Otherwise, he will be taken away from his loved ones forever. He will be taken away, only for him to shortly glitch out of existence, too.

So wait Makoto doesn't understand English at all??? Yoo wtf that's cool and weird? Who made the thing that translates his Japanese?

Nope, not even the most basic words :’D He doesn’t understand any other language other than Japanese, since he used to live in ancient Japan before foreigners came along :0 He’s considered a “time traveller” because he was sent to Caelum from 16th century Japan :0 

When he first heard English, Makoto was frustrated yet amazed out of his mind. But in order to understand English and other languages, he was given an ear piece (that’s sorta like a hearing aid, except it’s a translator). And in order for everyone to understand Makoto’s Japanese, everyone else also had to wear an ear piece. 

In case someone doesn’t speak your language, everyone in Caelum has to wear an ear piece to understand each other, no matter what language you speak. The translator only works if someone is not speaking your native language. So if your language is Spanish but you’re also talking with a person whose native language is Spanish, the translator effects would wear off for now. 

Hueh, but even if the ear piece exists, peeps still wouldn’t be able to make out writing in other languages, since translator glasses don’t exist. Since Makoto is always speaking Japanese, he still writes characters. And it’s a reason why his friends never understand Makoto’s letters.

OC Interview: Monster Mobs

“What do you guys think about Kashiwazaki Makoto, your teammate? Be honest. No sarcasm.”

Roger: He...he’s cool, I guess! Maybe he just needs some time to open up more, because to me, he looks mighty secretive. That might not be true. But even if Makoto is grumpy almost all the time, he’s still considered a team member and I trust him. Not a lot, but I still do, since he hasn’t done anything bad to us or anyone. Not that I know of.  

Earl: No sarcasm? *wheezes* Heh...alrighty. I’ll be brutally honest here, so watch out, reporter, whoever you are. *cough* Anyway, I don’t trust him. Why? Because he looks suspicious and acts suspicious. He’s got those...those unnatural red eyes, which...which made me uneasy when I first met him. He’s probably a demon, and I always question why out of all people Roger chose this guy to be in our team. I don’t like him, and I don’t think he does either, but I don’t care. I shouldn’t care about demon scum’s opinion about me. I can do what I want. 

Rochelle: To be honest, I kinda knew he was soft from the start. When I first encountered him, he was crying his heart out in an alleyway, and he looked lost and afraid. I was intimidated by him at first. But when I got the courage that I wasn’t going to make things worse, I managed to give him a home for a few days. Since I already saw his soft side, he wasn’t as grumpy towards me since I could see right through him. And from what he’s told me recently, he’s afraid to reveal himself because of society’s opinion. And since people *glances at Earl* are too ignorant to get to know him, they always assume that Makoto’s a monster because of his appearance. But from what I’ve seen, he’s not a monster at all. In fact, he’s the complete opposite. He’s the biggest baby on the planet. *snickers*
