There is something so incredibly cursed about full sized persona 5 portraits. I don't know how to explain it but it feels like I'm looking at something forbidden
Haha, I know kind of what you mean!
Honestly, I think part of the reason for that feeling is because the portraits themselves are all slightly redrawn so they look more natural with the full body, which adds to them feeling slightly "off" if you're used to the regular cropped portrait?
For instance, with Kiyoshi, if I make the full-body piece partially transparent on top of his cropped body piece:
You can see the full-body version has redrawn lines for the collar, and they even moved his grade pin and redrew that, too.
They really adjusted Manaka's bow, and even drastically redrew her sweater thing's collar, while Kotone's hair is even altered a bit, with very different shading on her shoulder.
So, again- I think part of it is it's just strange because we're not used to it, but another part of it is that they also made some sneaky alterations to certain elements to make them look better in the new format, haha.
Here are Kotone's full-size portraits!
(I think she also has a blush variant of some of these, but I don't remember which expressions have it, and the blush layer doesn't specify which expressions to use it with?)
